Hasan Ghazi is the founder of the Toronto based label Reckoning Records. His recent productions have climbed the Beatport Top 100 Charts and have received support from major artists such as Marco Carola, Cristian Varela, Mia Mendi, Jewelz & Sparks to name a few.
In his late teens and early 20s Hasan’s sound was influenced by an influx of both Western and Eastern music ideologies as he spent his time travelling between Canada and Pakistan. Hasan started to develop his own sound there while partnering up with many artists that have become the forefront of Pakistani electronic music scene in the recent years.
In 2014 Hasan travelled to China and spent the next 6 years DJing in China’s top under-ground clubs such as the Mansion & Downtown in Shanghai; Lantern in Beijing; and Deep Roll in Suzhou. Hasan has also performed twice on top of the Great Wall of China at the 2018 and 2019 Yin Yang Music Festival. Hasan’s music has evolved through the course of his journey and his DJ sets are tasteful mix of techno and house.
Returning to Toronto in 2020, Hasan redefined his sound yet again and launched his label Reckoning Records. Hasan’s new sound is making waves as multiple tracks have charted on Beatport.
