3D Medieval Sword Store Experience
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m building an online sword shop that feels more like stepping into a medieval armoury than browsing a website. From the homepage, visitors should be able to click a “Enter the Store” portal that loads a fully-navigable 3D space rendered right in the browser. Using a 3D walkthrough interface, they’ll stroll past stone walls, wooden racks and glass display cases. When a sword is selected, the camera must zoom to that weapon, present it on a neutral background and let the shopper rotate it freely in 360 degrees before hitting a Buy button that takes them straight to checkout.
Because I chose custom development, I’m open to the stack you’re most comfortable with—WebGL via Three.js or Babylon.js, a Unity WebGL build, even Unreal’s Pixel Streaming—so long as it performs smoothly on modern desktops and mobile browsers without additional plugins. The storefront itself will need real-time product data (title, price, stock) pulled from a JSON or simple CMS I can update later, and the purchase flow should hand off to Stripe or PayPal seamlessly.
Key deliverables:
• Browser-based 3D medieval showroom with smooth WASD or click-to-move navigation
• Interactive sword inspection: zoom, pan, 360-degree rotation, lighting that flatters blade textures
• Buy button that passes item ID, quantity and price to a secure checkout page
• Lightweight admin panel or data file so I can add, retire or discount products without touching code
• Responsive fallback view for users on low-power devices (static gallery with the same products)
Acceptance criteria:
1. Average FPS ≥ 45 on a mid-range laptop in Chrome.
2. All sword models load under 2 seconds each on a 50 Mb/s connection.
3. Successful test purchase flows through to payment confirmation email.
4. No console errors on first run.
If parts of the medieval décor can be procedurally generated or sourced from asset libraries to keep the build lean, even better. Let me know which engine, hosting requirements and any licenses we’ll need so production goes smoothly.
