Back-End Web Developer for interactive 3D website using Three.js/webGL
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I'm looking for a back end web developer who will be responsible for procuring and maintaining the web space needed to host an interactive art website that will examine public health topics. You will work closely with the me and a Front-End Web Developer to understand the space and performance requirements of the final website.
This is a two year project, and I will be meeting with you a few times to check on progress and let you know when there are updates. I estimate that this will require about 10-20 hours in the first year and 15-30 hours in the second year.
You will meet with the me at least twice over the course of Year 1 to understand the scope of data and interactivity that the end user will be interacting with. You will be responsible for assisting me and the front-end developer with getting the site up and running over the course of Year 2. You should have at least 5 years of experience creating the infrastructure and hosting highly interactive websites and web applications designed to withstand a moderate amount of internet traffic. You will be responsible for scoping out and explaining at least four options for server hosting and to ensure that the site will be secure according to current data security standards. You should have a complete understanding of the pros and cons of hosting the site on AWS and Azure.
The site will also feature a form that will allow users to submit questions and stories. You will be responsible for maintaining this database and providing a way for the information to filter back to me.
Here are three examples of sites that look and feel like what I want to create:
(https://normanvr.com/) (Just the animation and fluidity, not the VR component)
I have also attached a simple drawing of how the site will be laid out.
You should have at least 5 years of experience working with teams greater than 3 to deliver interactive websites and web experiences. Looking forward to chatting with you!
