Advanced WebGL 3D Builder Configurator
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I’m commissioning the development of a brand-new web-based 3D product configurator built entirely from scratch. The goal is to create something functionally similar to the Kirby example, where users can assemble components, swap materials, and change colors in real time directly in the browser. The front end will run in React / Next.js, with Three.js handling the rendering.

You’ll take my supplied GLTF/GLB assets, optimize them for fast loading and smooth interaction on desktop and mobile. Techniques like geometry decimation, texture compression, and KTX2/basis transcoding should be applied to keep performance high.
Core interaction features include:
Component assembly (add, remove, or replace parts dynamically)
Color & texture customization with real-time lighting updates
Smooth animations triggered by user selections
Responsive UI built in React, fully synced with Three.js state
Deliverables & Acceptance Criteria:
Optimized 3D assets (largest under 2 MB after compression)
Load time under 3 seconds on mid-range mobile devices
Config changes at 60 fps (30 fps fallback on lower-end devices)
Clear documentation (project structure, build commands, adding new models)
If you have experience in high-performance Three.js applications, scalable ES6 code, and clean state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar), I’d love to collaborate with you.
