Distillation Mass & Energy Balance solutions

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m looking for a chemical-process engineer who can quickly generate a full mass and energy balance for an industrial distillation column I’m working on. The system separates two liquid components under steady-state conditions, and I need to know every inlet and outlet flow rate, composition, heat duty, and utility requirement so I can size equipment and estimate operating costs.

You may work in Excel, Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, or a similar simulator—as long as the final numbers are clearly traceable. Please document each assumption, the thermodynamic package you select, and any correlations used for physical properties. I’m aiming to have the first draft right away, so speed is critical.

Deliverables
• Calculation file (Excel or simulation model) with solved mass & energy balances
• Stream summary table showing flow, temperature, pressure, enthalpy, and composition for all streams
• One-page memo or slide deck explaining key assumptions, convergence method, and recommended next steps

Acceptance criteria
• Mass balance closure ≤ 1 %
• Energy balance closure ≤ 5 %
• All units and references clearly cited
