Vertical Greenhouse Climatic Modelling -- 2
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
Climatic modelling of a closed vertical greenhouse (image is just as an example of the concept, the actual model is different)
The job includes work in OpenStudio:
- 3D modelling based on a 3D model that will be provided or import of an existing building (6 meter wide x 6 meter long x 6 meter high - open space with some technical equipment installed)
The job includes work in EnergyPlus:
- output from OpenStudio and definition of all parameters
- modelling of the building and the industrial process of plant growth
The job includes analytical reasoning of the results.
Inputs will be provided for:
- details of the insulation type to be used will be provided
- a list of heat and humidity generators and expected output of heat and humidity for each
- surface area of plants and water (for a specific duration of time each day)
- a range of temperature and humidity that must be maintained
- indication of areas where airflow must be maintained
- GPS location and orientation of the building (weather data and solar radiation map should be extracted from EnergyPlus catalogs)
Output (deliverables):
- OpenStudio and EnergyPlus complete files (posibility to load and check the complete files)
- Written technical report file (.doc/.odt) containing analytical reasoning of the simulation process (with pictures from the various stages of the process - printscreens) and conclusions
- Minimal technical specifications required:
+ required capacity of cooling/heating/de-humidification
+ required capacity and layout of internal ventilation
+ layout and configuration of thermal equipment
+ recommended insulation thickness for optimal results (cost/benefit)
- .xls file with formulas containing the simplified thermal model. The file should have input cells for all the inputs (size of building -WxLxH, thermal insulation thickness, surface of plantation, orientation of the building) and should generate an output for thermal insulation thickness, cooling/heating/de-humidification capacity, based on the themal model)
Communication with owner of the project will be insured in a timely manner. Partial progress report is expected for validation of the direction of work.
