SolidWorks Heat Flux Simulation
Budget: $10 – $1,500 USD
I need a detailed heat-flux analysis run on a highly complex metal assembly that I already have modelled in SolidWorks. Please set up and solve the thermal study inside SolidWorks Simulation (or a fully compatible solver), define all relevant boundary conditions, and provide clear, reproducible steps so I can rerun or tweak the study later.
Scope
• Import or open my existing geometry (the CAD file will be shared once we start).
• Apply accurate material properties for the specified metal grades.
• Specify thermal loads, convection, and any contact conductance that the design demands.
• Mesh the intricate regions well enough to capture local heat flow without driving the run-time through the roof.
• Post-process the study to deliver colour-mapped plots of heat-flux vectors, temperature contours, and any numeric probes I might request.
Deliverables
1. The complete SolidWorks Simulation study file(s) ready to open and solve.
2. A concise PDF report summarising setup assumptions, boundary conditions, solver settings, and key findings.
3. High-resolution images (PNG/JPG) of the principal plots for quick reference.
4. A short walkthrough (written or recorded) explaining how to adjust parameters and rerun the analysis.
Acceptance Criteria
• Results converge with mesh refinement (show at least one refinement check).
• Maximum residuals meet SolidWorks’ default thermal tolerance or better.
• All boundary conditions are documented directly in the model tree and in the report.
If you have a proven track record running thermal studies on intricate metal parts and can start soon, let’s talk.
