LED Thermal Design Optimization
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
I am wrapping up a compact LED product and need an experienced designer in Pune who can make it run cool, stay reliable, and remain easy to manufacture. The product will rely on a combination of passive and active cooling, so I expect careful thermal analysis, clear documentation, and SolidWorks-based 3D models I can send straight to a prototype shop.
Your focus areas
• Heat-sink and enclosure refinement
• LED layout and cooling solutions
• Material and surface-finish selection that balances cost, weight, and IP concerns
Core tasks
1. Build or refine SolidWorks models of the enclosure, PCB stack-up, and heat sink.
2. Run steady-state and transient thermal simulations (ANSYS, COMSOL, or SolidWorks Simulation) that compare passive, active, and hybrid cooling.
3. Recommend airflow paths or fan specs where active cooling is justified.
4. Deliver a concise report showing temperature maps, key assumptions, and design-rule checks for drivers, optics, and LEDs.
5. Produce a BOM with material grades, finishes, and manufacturing notes that align with local suppliers.
Acceptance criteria
• Junction temperatures remain within LED spec under worst-case ambient.
• CAD and drawings open natively in SolidWorks 2020 or newer.
• Simulation report includes at least three cooling scenarios with clear conclusions.
If prototypes are needed, we can meet locally to review parts and run validation tests. Strong communication and data-driven decisions will set you apart—let’s make this light run cool and last long
