Infrared (thermal) bio-feedback monitor

I am designing an environment which uses a thermal camera to measure a persons temperature as a biofeedback signal fed into a computer to change an animation. Interested to hear from product designers and programmers. If you understand thermal imaging or if you understand the data feed from a thermal camera.
