Custom Coil Bath Heat Exchanger

Job ID: 40054343

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a detailed engineering design for a coil-in-bath heat exchanger that will sit inside my bait-making machine. The coil will be fully submerged in an oil bath, and the system must reliably hold the oil between 100 °C and 200 °C throughout production. I am looking to use 3 of these heat exchangers inside mounted housing.

Your task is to size the coil, select suitable materials, and supply fabrication-ready drawings as well as the supporting thermal and pressure-drop calculations. I will provide heating capacity, flow-rate figures, and space constraints as soon as we start; I’m counting on you to translate those into a practical, budget friendly design.

Please base your work on standard tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for drawings and a recognised thermal package (e.g., ANSYS, HTRI, or equivalent) for the performance calculations so I can easily review and hand everything straight to my fabricator.

Deliverables
• Complete heat-balance and coil sizing worksheet
• 3D model and 2D fabrication drawings with tolerances, weld details, and nozzle schedule
• Material and gasket recommendations compatible with hot oil service (200 °C max)
• Pressure-drop and residence-time confirmations to verify throughput targets

Acceptance criteria: the design must maintain the specified temperature window under the stated load, fit the given footprint, and be ready for immediate manufacture with no additional re-work.
