Custom DC-DC Buck Boost Converter
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a DC-DC converter prototype as per the following parameters:
Power Rating: 150W
Input: 16-32V DC
Output: 28V, 5.5A
Output Variation: 10-28V using a 10K Ohm External Pot
Output Regulation: 5%
Deliverables I expect
• Schematic with clearly annotated component values
• Bill of materials with manufacturer part numbers and current pricing
• Simulation files (LTspice, PSpice or similar) showing efficiency, ripple and thermal figures under typical and worst-case loads
• PCB layout in KiCad, Altium or another mainstream CAD tool, with fabrication-ready Gerbers
• A concise design note explaining choices, expected performance and any tuning steps required during bring-up
• A fully developed & fabricated prototype with functional demonstration (through live video).
Acceptance criteria
The converter must hold the specified output within the agreed tolerance across the full input range and load profile, maintain stable regulation without oscillation, and stay within its thermal limits during a 90-minute full-power test in simulation.
