Thai-English Retail Negotiation Interpreter
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I’m looking for a fluent Thai-English interpreter who is already based in Thailand to accompany me during client interactions and negotiations with local retail partners. All interpretation will be live, either on-site (mainly Bangkok, with occasional day trips to nearby provinces) or through Zoom/Google Meet when travel is not practical.
Scope of work
• Provide real-time, two-way interpretation throughout each meeting, ensuring prices, terms, and product details are conveyed accurately and diplomatically.
• Clarify cultural nuances on the spot so conversations stay smooth and productive.
• When sessions are remote, manage the technical side—audio checks, screen-share cues—so nothing is lost in translation.
• After every meeting, email me a brief recap (key decisions, action items, next steps) in English.
I’m negotiating wholesale purchase agreements for fashion and home-goods, so familiarity with retail vocabulary—MOQ, payment terms, logistics, and quality control—will help you thrive in this role.
Ideal profile
• Native-level command of both Thai and English.
• Proven experience interpreting business negotiations or client visits in the retail sector.
• Comfortable traveling within Thailand for single-day engagements.
• Professional, discreet, and able to keep all commercial information confidential.
