Project: Textile/Materials Engineer for Apparel Prototype

Overview
We are developing a new apparel product that integrates a proprietary attachment system. We are seeking a textile/materials engineer to consult on material compatibility, durability, and overall product feasibility. The engineer will collaborate with our designer and prototype team to ensure that the product is both functional and production-ready.

Responsibilities
• Advise on fabric and material selection for long-term wear and washability.
• Provide guidance on integrating non-traditional components into textiles.
• Support prototype development and testing.
• Recommend adjustments for durability, safety, and comfort.

Required Skills
• Degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of fabric mechanics (strength, wear, stretch).
• Experience with garment hardware or component integration.
• Familiarity with washability and durability standards.

Preferred Skills
• Experience with innovative or technical apparel.
• Knowledge of coatings, polymers, or reinforcement methods.
• Hands-on experience in prototype development.
