Adaptive Kidswear Design Professionals Needed
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Greetings!
I’m developing a line of adaptive childrenswear for boys and girls aged roughly 2 – 12. Every garment has to strike the same balance parents are looking for in mainstream fashion—great style—while also meeting the day-to-day functional demands that come with disabilities or sensory differences.
Here’s what matters most to me as we move from concept to sample: nappy- and toileting-access solutions that don’t scream “medical”, genuinely sensory-friendly construction (flat seams, soft threads, carefully placed labels), easy fastenings caregivers can operate one-handed, plus enough adjustability to cope with growth spurts without losing shape. Both aesthetics and practicality carry equal weight, so fabric selection, colour palettes and trims need to feel current yet remain gentle on the skin.
I’m looking for a textile engineer or fashion designer who can take these requirements and translate them into production-ready assets:
• Sketches or CAD visuals of each style
• Detailed tech packs with measurements, stitching notes, and bill of materials
• Fabric and trim recommendations including sourcing links
• Pattern files graded across the 2–12 size range
If you have previous work in adaptive or inclusive apparel, please share it so I can see how you solved similar challenges.
Thanks and Happy Bidding:)
