Trend-Setting Fusion Kurti Design Needed ( fashion designer )
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I’m putting together a fresh line of Indo-western kurtis and co-ord sets that retail between ₹500-₹1,000, and I need a designer who can give the collection a genuine “never-seen-before” feel—not a rehash of what’s already on the racks. The overall vibe is fusion, and the hero feature I’m after is unmistakable, eye-catching cuts and silhouettes that instantly set the garments apart. If you love mixing global trends with Indian sensibilities, you’ll fit right in.
Fabric direction: I’m leaning toward mal chanderi, tissue and a few imported blends that drape well while staying cost-effective for the price point. I’ll handle sourcing once we finalise swatches, but your insight into fabric behaviour and fall is essential so the silhouettes translate perfectly from sketch to stitch.
Because I’m based in Surat, a local designer with hands-on stitching know-how would be ideal for quick sampling runs; however, talented applicants from elsewhere are welcome as long as you can coordinate pattern drafting and courier samples on schedule.
Whether you have three to five years of industry experience or you’re a newer designer with a strong portfolio, show me work that proves you can lead trends, not follow them. A flair for surface ornamentation is great, but the cut is the star; embroidery and prints remain optional accents.
Deliverables I need to see before we move to production:
• Mood board with colour palette and trim references
• Minimum three unique kurti/co-ord concepts (front & back sketches)
• Detailed tech packs with measurements, construction notes and fabric breakdown
• One fully stitched sample of the approved design
