Modern Wool Carpet Design Needed

I’m developing a new line of contemporary wool carpets and need an experienced carpet designer to translate my vision into production-ready artwork. The look I’m after is unmistakably modern—clean lines, balanced negative space, and pattern work that feels fresh in a residential or boutique-hotel setting. Because the final product will be hand-tufted in 100 % wool, your design choices must respect that fiber’s pile height, dye absorption, and carving possibilities.

Here’s how I see the collaboration:

• We begin with a short call where I share mood images and dimensions.
• You present two to three concept sketches that demonstrate different pattern directions within a modern aesthetic.
• Once we lock the concept, you refine one design to full scale, supplying color-mapped artwork and a tech sheet that a mill can follow (repeat size, yarn counts, tufting notes, Pantone codes, etc.).

File requirements: Illustrator or high-resolution Photoshop layered file, plus a PDF overview.

Timeline: initial concepts within one week of kickoff; final artwork within ten days after feedback.

While I haven’t fixed the colour palette, I’m happy to work with your professional suggestions to complement the modern style and the warmth of wool. If you’ve previously designed rugs or carpets—especially those already in production—please include portfolio images and note any mills you’ve worked with.
