Indian Cultural Accuracy Consultant

Job ID: 40423959

Budget: $25 – $50 CAD

I’m developing content that relies heavily on authentic representations of India’s traditional dress and textiles, and I want every reference - down to fibre, weave, and regional nuance - to be unquestionably accurate. Your role is to act as both historian and critical eye, checking my material for cultural accuracy while advising on historical practices, regional variations, and the symbolism attached to garments and adornment.

You will receive text passages, costume sketches, image references, and short video scripts. For each asset, I need you to:

• Mark any inaccuracies or anachronisms in Google Docs using Track Changes.
• Supply concise corrections supported by primary or reputable secondary sources (museum archives, academic journals, textile institutes).
• Suggest region-specific alternatives when a garment, motif, or colour usage feels too generic.
• Provide a brief rationale so the creative team understands why a change is necessary.

Deliverables will be an annotated document for each batch of files plus a summary sheet highlighting the most critical cultural corrections.

Knowledge of cultural traditions is essential, as is an ability to articulate the social context that shaped them. If you also spot broader issues around rituals, etiquette, or language, please flag them; cultural accuracy is the guiding priority.
