Design Maternity Pants Collection

I’m launching a home-grown maternity wear label and my first drop will focus exclusively on pants that feel great through every trimester and every Indian season. I need an experienced fashion designer based in India who understands maternity grading as well as the nuances of fabric fall and stretch.

The line will include:
• Leggings for everyday comfort
• Tailored trousers that work for office wear
• Breezy palazzos suited to humid climates


Preferred textiles are cotton, linen and a cotton-spandex blend so the pieces stay breathable yet retain shape. You’ll guide me on exact GSM, blends and finishes that cope with monsoon humidity and summer heat while remaining gentle on sensitive skin.

Key responsibilities
• Create original sketches and detailed tech packs for each style
• Develop trimester-based size charts and advise on pattern adjustments for growing bumps
• Recommend trims, waist constructions and belly bands that keep the silhouette flattering
• Provide fabric and trims sourcing suggestions from Indian mills or suppliers

Deliverables (per style)
1. Flat sketch (front, back, side)
2. Tech pack with measurements, stitching details, wash care and BOM
3. Size grading chart S–XXL (trimester-wise)
4. Fabric and accessory swatch list with supplier references

Acceptance criteria
• Patterns must match Indian maternity sizing standards you outline and get my sign-off on.
• All tech packs ready for hand-off to a local manufacturer without additional clarification.
