Creative Freelance Textile Designer Wanted

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Freelance Textile Designer specializing in garment design to develop original prints, patterns, and fabric concepts for our clothing collections. You will collaborate with our fashion design team to translate seasonal concepts into compelling textile designs that reflect our brand identity and meet market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Create original textile designs, prints, and patterns for a variety of garment types (e.g., casual wear, formal wear, activewear).
Develop colorways, repeats, and technical files ready for digital or screen printing.
Research current fashion trends, colors, and materials to ensure designs are modern and market-relevant.
Collaborate with fashion designers, product developers, and production teams to ensure fabric designs align with garment concepts.
Modify and refine designs based on feedback and technical requirements.
Ensure all designs are production-ready and meet fabric printing specifications.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a textile designer in the fashion/garment industry (portfolio required).
Strong understanding of fabric types, textile printing techniques, and garment construction.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.
Strong sense of color, composition, and pattern development.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with sustainable textile practices or eco-friendly materials.
Familiarity with CAD software specific to textiles (e.g., NedGraphics, Pointcarre).
Understanding of global fashion trends and consumer preferences.
