Quality Assurance Engineer (QA)
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.
QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)
Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
Your main responsibilities will be the following:
1. Analyze and clarification of requirements
2. Plan the process of testing
3. Write test cases (test scripts)
4. Conduct functional testing
5. Identify problem areas, add them to a tracking system
6. Discuss fixes with developers
7. Track the life cycle of errors
8. Re-test fixed defects
9. Analyze testing
10. Optimize the testing process
11. Analyze the teamwork processes
12. Improve processes
13. Maintain the test documentation
Requirements:
- Must have proven experience in various types of testing including but not limited to Manual Testing, Testing Automation - Unit Testing, etc.
- Should be spontaneous
- Self Motivated
- A keen eye for detailing
- Out of the box thinking
- Person with a can-do attitude
- Ever-ready
- Reliable
- Never say never
- Gets things done
- Team player
- Mr. Initiative
