Manual Software Tester
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
Position Purpose
The Test Analyst is responsible for the execution of test scenarios against developed software in an agile environment.
This role will provide feedback to the developer(s) and/or Senior Test Analyst on pass or fail test cases and will also ensure that any test environment issues discovered are promptly reported to the Senior Test Analyst.
Key Responsibilities
Perform manual Functional and Regression testing, recording the results and raising defects
Derive automated test cases from requirements and specifications
Writing basic automated test scripts in a programming language
Ensure minimal impact is experienced by the core Business systems during weekly code releases and that production releases have less than 2 bugs identified
Ensure the test environment is stable, reliable and ready for weekly software releases by reporting any issues in a timely manner
Provide testing support to the Systems team when required
Analyze planned outgoing changes & develop corresponding detailed test cases on a weekly basis
Monitor your test queue and ensure tasks are delivered on time
Create corresponding test cases for high risk software changes or high profile projects
Report frequently to relevant stakeholders on the status of testing
