[Project Description]
Mid-Level Role. 4-8 years of core Quality Assurance (full suite testing) experience is MUST. Looking to engage an independent QA Engineer, with a strong background in test planning, test designing, and test execution. Must be able to perform manual testing and automated testing using tools like Selenium, Katalon Studio, Jest, and Mocha. Must have experience in the Advertising and Marketing industry with strong analytics experience. Should have exposure/knowledge of AWS Infrastructure.

[Our Existing IT Infrastructure and Development Environment]
AWS Cloud EC2 machines, RDS MYSQL DB server, AWS Redis, AWS CloudFront, and AWS S3 buckets.
Development Environment: Built on TDD development approach, with Laravel PHP + MySQL stack, our software application is a web service API built on REST architecture, using JSON as a resource, to handle diverse asset types – html, pdf, image, audio, and video files.

[Skills Needed]
Core PHP/Laravel PHP Full Test Suite, with additional skills in JavaScript Testing, and ability to lead the Full Suite Testing, Test Code Review, and Test Pipelines in Deployment.
MySQL database administration & development with skills to review the configurations, parameters, backups, restore and recovery, etc.
Must have API testing experience:
o Core PHP development exposure: familiarity with PHP 7 features/syntax (preferably PHP 7.4)
o Experience Laravel Test concepts relative to REST API testing
o Experience in frontend testing and test tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio, Jest, Mocha, etc.
o Experience in Laravel + MySQL stack development: familiarity with Laravel Homestead
o Experience with TDD style of development: familiarity with PHP Unit Test Suite
o Experience with JIRA, Bitbucket, and Git Commands
Advertising and Marketing Analytics experience. eCommerce operational experience – preferably working with an advertising and/or publishing platform.
Good communication skills, understanding of marketing concepts, and ability to present complex marketing terminology in layman’s terms.
Nice to have – experience with AWS technologies: SQS, CloudWatch
Nice to have – experience with basic Docker (for development only) and serverless applications.

[Scope, Objectives, and Desired Outcomes]
(You will be working closely with the VP-Technology, Lead Developers, Analysts, AWS Solution Architect, and other technical personnel, a team environment of 5-10 people)

 Support/lead the development of quality assurance and testing strategy (“QATS”) roadmap.
> Test planning, test designing, and test execution as per prescribed quality assurance strategy to ensure that software application complies with implicit and explicit requirements.

 Deploy test frameworks and tools appropriate to the application and the technology in use.
> Use of automation tools like Selenium, Katalon Studio, Jest, and Mocha, etc.

 Perform manual and automated tests - functional, performance, scalability, and system capabilities.
> Verify and validate the software application functions ensuring that application and configuration are healthy. This includes, but not limited to, reviewing, testing, and maintaining production (commercial-level) releases for application feature developments, 3rd party integrations, and core workflow of the application.

 Single-handily leads the support to software developers, lead developers, and approval representatives in the analysis of bugs by making automation scripts.
> Lead the API Testing (manual as well as automated), code inspection, backend manual testing including database testing (SQL, DB migration), integration testing (REST API, Third-Party Integrations), production monitoring, and debugging using logging tools.

 Continuous reporting on test progress and test status. Report errors in bug tracking tool and track the issues to closure including support of the investigation, validate fixes and analyze the impact of fixes.
