QA Engineer for Video Editing Software Playwrightjs

Description:
We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer to test Clippy, our online video editing software, using automated testing tools PlaywrightJS and CodeceptJS. This is an initial 2-week project focused on developing and executing comprehensive Cucumber-based test cases to ensure Clippy’s features function smoothly and meet high quality standards. If you’re skilled in automation, video editing platforms, and have a creative approach to testing, we’d love to work with you!
### Project Requirements:
1. End-to-End Automation Testing
- Use PlaywrightJS and CodeceptJS to create robust automation scripts for end-to-end testing of Clippy’s features.
- Write Cucumber-based BDD test cases that cover the user journey, from account creation to final video exports.
2. Automation Coverage of Video Editing Features
- Develop scripts to validate all major video editing functionalities, including:
- Video creation, editing, and applying animation effects.
- Adding and manipulating images, GIFs, and audio.
- Applying effects to images and videos, and ensuring transitions function as expected.
3. Testing Export & Social Media Compatibility
- Automate the export functionality and test various dimension formats, including landscape, portrait, YouTube HD, and Instagram story.
- Ensure compatibility with different social media platforms (e.g., TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram).
4. Project Management & Profile Testing
- Develop tests for the auto-save functionality and confirm that video projects are accessible in the user’s profile history.
- Verify that all previous projects appear correctly on the profile page and can be reopened as expected.
### Deliverables:
- Automated Test Scripts: End-to-end scripts for the Clippy platform in PlaywrightJS and CodeceptJS.
- Cucumber-Based Test Cases: Detailed BDD test cases covering all major functionalities.
- Test Documentation: Documentation of test cases, coverage, and instructions for executing tests.
- Defect Reporting: Log any identified bugs, with clear steps to reproduce, screenshots, and videos if needed.
### Skills Required:
- Proven experience with PlaywrightJS and CodeceptJS for automation testing.
- Strong understanding of Cucumber-based BDD for writing structured, readable test cases.
- Experience in testing video editing software or creative applications.
