Design and build a suite of automated UI tests
Budget: £10 – £15 GBP
We're looking for someone to help us build out a suite of automated UI tests for our browser-based SaaS platform. The tests need to work cross-browser and mobile so we're expecting to use a platform such as BrowserStack or TestComplete to perform the tests, although we'd welcome any advice on the best approach. Likewise, the expectation is that we'll use Selenium to scrip the tests, unless we can be persuaded that there's a better way ;-)
One Registry is a pre-revenue start-up aiming to produce tools for UK-based small cap businesses to manage their company secretarial and related functions. We have successfully closed an initial funding round from successful Cambridge entrepreneurs as well a small amount of institutional investment. The money will be used to develop our existing alpha product towards beta, and bring some clients onboard to prove the system. From there, we will be raising further cash in Q2 2022 to launch the MVP.
We are UK-based but are very used to working with remote partners. Timezones aren't normally a problem. In terms of the development team, we have a full-time CEO who is actively involved in product management, a part-time CTO and two part-time developers. The system is hosted in AWS (React / Laravel) with GitHub used for source management and CI. However, we would anticipate that the testing would be a separate project with its own appropriate architecture etc.
This project will broken down into multiple small phases so we can iterate quickly. We anticipate there to be further phases added as we build out the functionality of the platform and the tests so the hope is that the test role would expand into a permanent part-time role.
Please reach out if you want to learn more about the software and the exact tests we'd be looking for. In total, we'd expect there to be approximately 50 discrete tests (add/edit/delete etc) that need to be built initially including user registration, login, password retrieval etc.
Thanks for reading!
