Appium Test writer: creating scenarios tests for Mobile App
Budget: $700 – $1,000 USD
I am looking for a proficient tester with strong understanding of Appium and mobile applications. The role involves setting up various test scenarios to consistently evaluate the functionality and installation process associated with my mobile application which roughly includes 100 screens. Key responsibilities will include:
- Crafting a variety of relevant Appium test scenarios, possibly by adapting from existing ones.
- Administering these tests on the complete application every time a new commit is added into the git.
To be created or copied from existing tests Appium provides.
Number of screens: approx 100 (this includes popus in some screens too)
Tests to be performed on the app code for every commit into the git.
1. Functional Testing
a. Test for each screen and button and functionality
i. Does the screen exist
ii. Does all button exist
iii. Are all images there
b. Press each button and menu results in each screen
i. Does it generate error or success
ii. If success what is the results
iii. Screen capture for that screen showing errors or no results, wait 5 seconds
c. Register/Login/Logout
i. Login, success or not successful
ii. Logout, success or not successful
iii. Register, success or not successful
2. Installation Testing
a. USA and Europe and India-Pakistan
b. 10 most common devices in each region
The ideal candidate should be highly experienced in conducting both Functional and Installation Testing. Having a keen eye for detail and systematic approach to problem-solving will ensure thorough testing and consistent results. A robust understanding of Appium tests and an ability to readily adapt or create new tests as per project's need is essential for this job.
