Also, the developer should be adept at developing production grade app.
Conversations have to be real time. Developer should have good understanding of web sockets and real-time databases.
Page navigation should be seamless and optimized for latency

Application should be tested thoroughly. Testing to be performed -

3) Security testing
4) cross-browser testing
5) cross-device testing
6) Localization and Internationalization Testing

App has to be developed on both android and IOS platforms.
