I have a newly built oil and gas application that is ready for functional testing. The core area I need you to validate is the data input-output flow: users will be entering information manually (you need to create those cases), saving it, retrieving it, and exporting it for further analysis. Your job is to walk through every scenario an engineer or field operator would face, prove that each screen behaves as intended, and capture any defects that break the expected workflow.
Because this engagement is strictly about functional testing, you can ignore performance or security considerations for now. I will provide access to the staging environment, the current user stories, and the acceptance criteria we have defined in-house.
Deliverables
• A concise test plan outlining the cases you will run
• Executed test evidence (screenshots or short clips) for each case
• A defect log with clear reproduction steps and severity tags
• A summary report highlighting overall system health and recommended fixes
