Desktop App Functional & Usability QA
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I have a cross-platform desktop application that currently runs on Windows and macOS, and I want a fresh set of eyes to make sure every core feature works exactly as intended and that the overall experience feels intuitive for end-users. Your focus will be on two fronts: solid functional testing that uncovers crashes, logic errors, or workflow blockers, and hands-on usability testing that highlights confusing flows, unclear copy, or visual inconsistencies.
You’re free to use whichever modern QA stack you prefer—TestRail for test cases, JIRA or similar for issue tracking, even screen-recording tools for quick repro videos—as long as the final output gives me:
• A concise test plan that covers all primary user journeys
• A clear, reproducible bug list with severity ratings and steps to reproduce
• Practical usability feedback with before/after screenshots or short clips
• A wrap-up summary outlining risk areas and quick-win improvements
I can supply the latest installers, sample data and any login credentials you need. If you spot opportunities for deeper performance or cross-platform edge-case checks, feel free to call those out, though they aren’t the immediate priority. Looking forward to your expertise in making this release rock-solid and user-friendly.
