# Selenium Automation Testing Project: Event Tab's : File

## Project Overview

The front-end of our web application has been updated to include element IDs for improved positioning and interaction. We are seeking an experienced Selenium automation tester to update our existing test scripts to cover newly implemented features for the file management module. This project involves creating automated test cases for file upload, download, deletion, editing, preview, and pagination controls.

## Personal Information Required for the Interview

## Objective

The current Selenium test scripts must be updated to include automation for the new file management features. Specifically, the automation needs to cover file upload, download, deletion, editing, preview, and interacting with the bottom toolbar for page management. The task is to ensure that these functionalities are automated and thoroughly tested in various environments, including Docker.

## Task

### Task 1: Implement Automation for File Upload

- Automate the following process:
1. Select a file using the system's file selection prompt.
2. Click the "Confirm" button to upload the file.

### Task 2: Implement Bottom Toolbar Automation

- Automate the following interactions:
1. Change the number of items displayed per page using the dropdown menu.
2. Use the pagination controls to navigate through multiple pages.

### Task 3: Implement Automation for File Download

- Automate the following methods for file download:

- **Method 1:**
1. Click the checkbox beside the file name.
2. Click the "Download" button.

- **Method 2:**
1. Click the selection icon on the right.
2. Click the "Download" button.

### Task 4: Implement Automation for File Deletion

- Automate the following methods for file deletion:

- **Method 1:**
1. Click the checkbox beside the file name.
2. Click the "Delete" button.
3. Click "Confirm" to complete the deletion.

- **Method 2:**
1. Click the selection icon on the right.
2. Click the "Delete" button.
3. Click "Confirm" to complete the deletion.

### Task 5: Implement Automation for File Edit

- Automate the following process:
1. Click the selection icon on the right.
2. Click the "Edit" button.
3. Enter the new name in the text field.
4. Click the "Confirm" button to save changes.

### Task 6: Implement Automation for File Preview

- Automate the following process:
1. Click the selection icon on the right.
2. Click the "Preview" button to view the file.

### Task 7: Responsive Web Design (RWD) Testing

- Perform RWD testing to ensure that all file management functionalities work correctly across various screen sizes and devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile).

### Task 8: Cross-browser and Cross-environment Compatibility

- Ensure that the automation tests run successfully in local environments and Docker, as well as across multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).

## Acceptance Criteria

- All automated scripts must pass in both local and Docker environments.
- Ensure full coverage of all key functionalities (file upload, download, deletion, editing, preview, and bottom toolbar interactions).
- Provide documentation detailing how to run the scripts in both local and Docker environments.
- Include thorough testing for Responsive Web Design (RWD).

## Estimated Workload
