TypeScript Backend Features, Terraform, Kafka

Job ID: 39860003

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

I have a steady stream of quick-turn items that centre on building new backend features written in TypeScript. Most tasks are no more than a few hours each, but they often touch our infrastructure layer, so familiarity with Terraform modules is important, as well as AWS CDK, and Kafka event flows are desirable. JavaScript competence is assumed, yet strong, idiomatic TypeScript is what keeps the codebase clean.

We’ll pair briefly in the morning (PST, CST, or EST all work; other time zones are fine if you can overlap then) to clarify the requirement, after which you push a well-tested PR and we move on to the next ticket. Expect green-field feature work rather than bug-fixing, though you’ll naturally tighten up adjacent code when necessary.

Typical deliverable
• A GitHub pull request containing the new TypeScript service logic, any accompanying Terraform/CDK changes, and Kafka topic or consumer configuration, complete with unit, and code coverage tests.

If you write clean, typed code, are comfortable automating infrastructure, and enjoy quick iterations, I’d like to work with you on these ongoing tasks.
