Configure Windows EC2 Hosting

Job ID: 39963348

Budget: £10 – £15 GBP

I need an Amazon EC2 instance spun up, secured, and fully prepared for web-hosting duties on Windows. The task starts with selecting the right Windows AMI, sizing the instance appropriately, and configuring networking so HTTP / HTTPS traffic flows smoothly through a properly locked-down security group and, if needed, an Elastic IP.

Once the instance is live, I’ll want the standard web-hosting stack in place—Windows Server, IIS enabled, and common extensions (URL Rewrite, .NET versions, Web Deploy) ready for use. Please harden the server (firewall rules, RDP best practices, automatic updates) and verify that I can deploy a sample site over HTTPS by the end of the job.

Deliverables:
• Running Windows EC2 instance in my AWS account
• Documented steps or automation script (CloudFormation, Terraform, or PowerShell) so I can recreate the environment later
• Configured IIS with a working test site reachable on the public URL
• Security group and OS hardening, plus a brief health-check report showing open ports and applied policies

If you have recent experience with AWS Console or IaC tools for Windows workloads, this should be straightforward. Let me know your preferred approach and an estimated timeline so we can get this server online quickly.
