Beginner Terraform & CI/CD Interview Prep
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I am preparing for a beginner-level interview that will cover Terraform setup and configuration plus the basics of CI/CD. I need a practical, hands-on study package that will get me from zero to comfortably answering technical questions and demonstrating simple workflows in a screen-share scenario.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
• A concise study guide that explains, in plain language, how to install Terraform, configure providers, manage state, and spin up a small cloud environment from scratch.
• Step-by-step lab exercises with ready-to-run .tf files so I can practise each concept on my own machine.
• A bank of realistic interview questions (and model answers) that focus specifically on setup and configuration topics—init, plan, apply, backend configuration, remote state, and basic modules.
• A lightweight CI/CD primer that ties everything together: show how a simple pipeline can call Terraform, run a plan, and apply on approval. You’re free to pick the tool you’re most comfortable with (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.); I mainly need to learn the flow rather than a particular UI.
• One mock interview session where you quiz me, then give actionable feedback on my responses and terminal navigation.
I will consider the work complete when I can:
1. Walk through your labs without errors,
2. Explain each Terraform command’s purpose during the mock interview, and
3. Trigger the sample pipeline and watch it deploy the same infrastructure automatically.
If this sounds straightforward to you and you have the patience to guide a beginner, let’s get started—please include a brief outline of the labs you’d provide and the tooling you prefer for the pipeline demo.
