AWS/Terraform DevOps for Deployment Pipeline

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to set up our full stack deployment pipeline using AWS and Terraform.

Scope of Work:

Frontend (Next.js)

Configure Next.js build and deployment to AWS S3 (static site hosting).

Integrate Cloudflare for CDN, caching, and SSL.

Backend

Deploy backend application to AWS ECS (Fargate preferred).

Configure auto-scaling, load balancing, and secure networking.

CI/CD

Set up automated build and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Bitbucket Pipelines – to be discussed).

Separate pipelines for frontend and backend.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Write and organize all infrastructure setup in Terraform.

Ensure reproducibility and modular code structure.

Best Practices & Documentation

Secure secrets and environment variables.

Provide documentation for deployment steps and Terraform usage.

Requirements:

Proven experience with AWS (S3, CloudFront/Cloudflare, ECS, Fargate, IAM, VPC).

Strong skills in Terraform and infrastructure automation.

Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with Next.js deployments and backend containerized apps.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Deliverables:

Fully functional deployment for frontend and backend.

Terraform scripts covering entire infrastructure.

CI/CD pipelines integrated with repo.

Documentation for future maintenance.

Bonus:

Experience with cost optimization in AWS.

Monitoring and logging setup (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.).
