Setup Linux Telecom Server
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a seasoned telecom engineer to turn a fresh Linux box into a full-featured communications platform. The build must rely exclusively on open-source components and cover every real-time channel we use—VoIP, PSTN, instant messaging with presence, video calling and broader multimedia handling.
Here is the software stack I want you to install, configure and prove in production readiness:
• ejabberd for XMPP-based messaging and presence
• Kamailio as the SIP registrar/router
• FreeSWITCH acting as media server and application engine
• A Class 5 softswitch layer for retail voice features
• A Class 4 softswitch layer for carrier routing and LCR
Everything will run on Linux. I expect clean source-based or package installs (your choice) that follow best security practices, plus well-commented config files stored in a version-controlled repo. When you are done I should be able to place and receive SIP and PSTN calls, exchange XMPP messages with presence, launch HD video sessions and run basic IVR or media-processing tasks without touching the underlying configs.
Acceptance criteria
• All services start at boot with systemd and survive reboots
• Test calls and messages complete with no audio or video issues using popular softphones and mobile clients
• Documentation covers install steps, key configs, and how to add new tenants or dial plan rules
• SSH hand-over session to walk me through the deployment
