Power Pages + Dataverse Setup (Live Guided Session, No Custom Code)
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I’m looking for an experienced Power Pages consultant to work with me on an existing Dataverse setup, not a greenfield build.
This is an external-facing Power Pages portal whose sole purpose is secure data submission and management into existing custom Dataverse tables.
Existing setup (must be reviewed first)
Three custom Dataverse tables already exist
Relationships are already defined (parent + related child tables)
Your first task will be to:
* Review the current table structure
* Validate relationships, columns, data types, and ownership
* Flag any required changes upfront before portal configuration begins
* No assumptions. No silent refactoring.
Scope of work
You will:
* Configure a Power Pages site connected to my existing Dataverse tables
* Surface a main parent form with related child record entry so users can:
* Submit the parent record
* Click Next / Submit
* Add related child records via sub-grids
* Ensure the form looks professional and clean for external users
* Enable multiple file attachments per record (Notes/Attachments or File table – choose the most reliable option and explain why)
Configure:
* Table permissions
* Web roles
* Field-level visibility
* Validation and business rules
* Ensure identical behaviour in Preview and Live
* Working arrangement (non-negotiable)
* Live walkthrough required via Microsoft Teams screen share
* You must talk through what you are doing as you do it
* Each step must be:
* Explained live
* No TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or remote desktop access
* Working microphone required
Acceptance criteria
Portal visible to test external users
Successful creation of:
* Parent records
* Related child records
* Multiple file attachments
* No permission or validation errors
* Clear documentation that allows me to recreate the setup independently
Tools & constraints
* Standard Power Pages designer
* Dataverse table permissions and web roles
* Classic maker portal only where genuinely required
* No unsupported hacks or custom code unless unavoidable
If alternatives are required, this must be flagged early
What I expect from you
* Proven Power Pages + Dataverse experience on existing schemas
Strong understanding of:
* Table permissions
* Web roles
* External user security
* Ability to explain why decisions are made, not just apply them
* Clear, professional communication
If you rely on trial-and-error or cannot confidently explain Power Pages security, this role is not suitable.
