Microwave P2P Link Budget Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a complete point-to-point microwave link budget worked out for a 5 G band hop. I’m most comfortable if you build it in Pathloss—feel free to run checks in other tools if that speeds up your workflow, but the final files must open cleanly in Pathloss so I can follow the numbers.
What I expect to see in the finished package:
• Pathloss project file with every step documented
• Clear tables for antenna gain, transmission power and receiver sensitivity, plus any other parameters that affect fade margin, availability and overall performance
• A brief narrative or PDF summary that walks me through the assumptions, terrain data sources and how you arrived at the final margin—keep it beginner-friendly as this is my first time commissioning a link budget
• Screenshots or graphs that illustrate path profile, Fresnel clearance and rain fade calculations
If you spot constraints I have missed, flag them early so we can agree on assumptions before you go too deep. I’m ready to start as soon as you confirm you’re comfortable with the 5 G band and Pathloss.
