Mapping Television Signal Strength with Terrain Morphology Consideration

Job ID: 38155452

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

I'm seeking a professional who can map the strength of historical television signals across a national geographical range. The ultimate goal is to compare signal strength across various regions to help us gain valuable insights.

Key Duties:
1. Use a signal loss model to account for terrain and other factors affecting signal strength.
2. Work with a pre-existing dataset containing columns for longitude, latitude, height of the radio tower, signal strength, and directional strength at specified angles.
3. Create a spatial output dataset and visualize information on a map to show variations in signal strength.
4. Implement signal propagation models that consider factors such as free-space path loss, diffraction, reflection, and scattering. Use appropriate software tools to simulate signal propagation accurately.

Ideal Expertise:
- Qualifications or experience in Telecommunications or related field
- Strong understanding of TV signal behavior and propagation.
- Proficient in Geographic Information System (GIS)
- Proficient in data visualization tools and software

By successfully completing this project, you'll be directly contributing to our understanding and improvement of national TV services.
