Commercial RF Rooftop Electrical Setup
Budget: £18 – £36 GBP
I need an experienced telecom engineer-electrician to handle a full-cycle project on a commercial site. The scope covers both a brand-new installation and improvements to an older system already in place, so you’ll be working on fresh infrastructure as well as live equipment.
The main tasks are clear:
• Installation of RF equipment, including cabinet placement, coax jumpers, grounding and final sweep tests
• Rooftop antenna setup—safe mounting, alignment and weather-proofing on an existing flat roof
• Electrical wiring and ongoing maintenance to make sure all gear stays powered, bonded and code-compliant
You’ll coordinate with building management for roof access, follow all commercial safety standards and provide concise documentation of wiring diagrams, IP addressing (where applicable) and post-install measurements (VSWR, return loss or similar).
Acceptance criteria:
1. All RF links pass performance tests and are signed off on-site.
2. Antennas are secured to withstand local wind ratings and are neatly routed to entry panels.
3. Electrical work meets national code; breaker labels, grounding and as-built schematics are delivered in PDF.
4. A brief handover report summarises the new install, the upgrades performed and any residual punch-list items.
If you already work comfortably at height, own basic RF test tools (spectrum or line sweep) and hold current electrical certification, I’d like to hear how soon you can start and your estimated timeline for each phase.
