AASHTO Gantry Steel Design

Job ID: 39924884

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a structural steel engineer—ideally based in Egypt or Qatar—who can take full responsibility for the design of road-sign structures and overhead gantries for an industrial-scale installation. All analysis and detailing must comply strictly with AASHTO requirements.

Scope of work
• Develop structural calculations covering dead, live, wind, and seismic loads in line with the latest AASHTO LRFD provisions.
• Produce clear GA drawings, member schedules, and connection details ready for fabrication (DWG or IFC).
• Supply a concise design report that walks through each assumption, load combination, and safety factor.
• Prepare a bill of materials and weight estimate to aid our procurement team.
• Provide one revision round after our internal review.

Preferred tools: STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or Robot Structural Analysis for modelling; AutoCAD or Tekla Structures for detailing. If you use another platform, let me know upfront.

Deliverables are due within two weeks of kickoff. Accuracy, code compliance, and tidy documentation are critical, as the output feeds directly into fabrication and erection planning.
