Write SAP PP Lean Book

Job ID: 40180163

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

The assignment is to craft a 50,000-word, implementation-driven manuscript on SAP Production Planning that Rheinwerk Publishing (SAP PRESS) can take straight to editing. I will supply topic ideas, access to demo systems, and industry contacts; your role is to turn that raw material into a polished, publisher-ready book.

Content focus
• Module configuration, business processes, and reporting & analytics inside SAP PP, always shown through the lens of Lean Manufacturing.
• Concrete Lean scenarios—Just-in-Time production, the 5S methodology, and Kanban—mapped directly to SAP transactions and master data.
• A step-by-step comparison of standard SAP functionality versus custom enhancements, highlighting when to stay inside the vanilla system and when a customer exit, BAdI, or Fiori app really pays off.

Required deliverables
1. Rheinwerk-compliant table of contents with page estimates.
2. Completed author questionnaire in their format.
3. Full 50,000-word manuscript written in clear, professional English, including screenshots, code snippets, and real-world configuration walks.
4. Citations for all SAP notes, OSS references, and field-tested tips so Rheinwerk’s technical reviewers can validate accuracy.

Acceptance criteria
– Outline and questionnaire approved by Rheinwerk’s acquisitions editor before full writing begins.
– Each chapter closes with a short “Lean Takeaway” and an SAP transaction summary.
– The standard-vs-custom section must include at least two full process flows and transport layer details.
– Final document delivered in both Word and Markdown, with images in separate, named folders per chapter.

Hands-on SAP PP experience, previous SAP PRESS or other technical book credits, and the ability to write for an audience of consultants and manufacturing engineers will be decisive.
