An established firm based in India is seeking an experienced, US Registered Patent Agent (USPTO registration required) for a 3-to-4-month contract. We have a steady pipeline of inventions and need a skilled professional to review our pre-drafted applications, handle the formal USPTO filings, and provide high-level strategic guidance on safeguarding a cluster of newly developed ideas.

Scope of Work & Workload
Volume: Approximately 4–5 patent applications per month.
Duration: 3–4 months (with the potential for ongoing extension based on performance and pipeline).
Core Responsibilities:
Review & Refine: Conduct thorough reviews of patent applications drafted by our team to ensure compliance with USPTO standards, claims optimization, and maximum defensibility.
USPTO Filing: Manage the formal submission and filing process of these applications with the USPTO.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with our leadership team to map out a comprehensive patent strategy for a "cluster" of interconnected inventions/ideas, ensuring robust IP protection and preventing overlap.
Required Qualifications
Must be a US Registered Patent Agent in good standing with the USPTO (Active USPTO Registration Number required).
Proven experience in patent prosecution and strategic portfolio development.
Deep understanding of USPTO rules, manual of patent examining procedure (MPEP), and recent IP legal trends.
Strong technical background in [Insert Specific Domain, e.g., Software / AI / Mechanical / Biotech / Medical Devices].
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness, with the ability to seamlessly collaborate asynchronously across time zones (US/India).
Preferred Skills
Experience advising international firms or foreign associates on US patent law.
Expertise in patent landscaping or mapping clusters of inventions to maximize coverage while minimizing RCEs (Request for Continued Examination).
