Technical writer with expertise in antennas and wireless

Job ID: 36223353

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

We are an antennas manufacturing company, and our website has about 800 pages of product pages and another 200 pages in our technical blog.

We need a technical writer who can do the following ongoing projects as a part-time job that will continue for many years into the future. You do not have to have skills in HTML, CSS, web-page editing/formatting etc, for this position, because we have an employee who can do that aspect (if you are a technical writer that does not have the web-page editing skills).

1. Review older articles on our blog, that have dated information, and update and/or "refresh the content" so that the content is more up to date and relevant.

2. Re-writing articles that came from less-technical writers, to make them more correct, relevant and of higher quality as technical articles.

3. We will provide documents that have a lot of technical information about a certain category of our products (such as a particular type of antenna) For example, the document that we provide will have sections that are about the various subcategories of a general type of antennas: Particular to applications: Examples: Mapping, mining, bulldozers, backpack antennas for surveyor, etc. One of your projects will be to figure out which section of text applies to a particular antenna (among a subcategory of antennas) and then you will select text from the document to add to the product page for that antenna.

4. We will provide a document with general and specific subject matter about wireless products that we manufacture: Your job will be to extract information out of that article and add it as content to the relevant product page(s) and product subcategory page(s).

5. Text arrangement and re-arrangement on product pages, and technical articles: You will use article documents such as the ones described about, and figure out how best to place/arrange/allocate the text on the best pages for the text: Product pages, product-subcategory pages, and product pages that have less than 400 words of text (i.e., being in need of more text)

6. Suggest content for articles for our technical blog, product pages, and product subcategory pages.

7. Write technical articles, as needed.p
