DE-EN Technical Documentation Translator (Industrial Equipment)

Our company requires a technically-minded German translator to work on user manuals and installation guides for a range of industrial measurement equipment. The content is highly technical, containing detailed procedures, safety warnings, and specifications.
The ideal candidate will not only translate the text but will also ensure that all technical jargon is correctly localized (e.g., "torque wrench" to "Drehmomentschlüssel") and that the instructions remain clear and unambiguous for German-speaking engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurate translation of technical manuals, ensuring clarity and safety.
Consistency in the use of technical terminology across all documents.
Minor formatting adjustments to accommodate text length changes.
Requirements:
Native German speaker with excellent English comprehension.
A background or proven experience in engineering, mechanics, or a related technical field.
Experience with CAT tools (Trados, memoQ) is preferred but not mandatory.
A keen eye for detail, especially regarding numbers, measurements, and safety-critical information.
