Technical Business Process Writing

Job ID: 40108436

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a clear, well-structured piece of technical writing that explains our internal business processes to a non-technical audience. The goal is to translate flowcharts and rough notes into a concise narrative that anyone in the company can follow without further explanation.

Scope
You will take the raw information I provide—process maps, voice notes, and a few sample forms—and turn it into a single document that walks the reader through each step of the process, why it matters, and who is responsible. Plain language is essential, but the tone must remain professional and accurate; imagine a hybrid between standard operating procedure (SOP) content and a quick-start guide.

Deliverables
• One editable document (Word or Google Docs) of roughly 2,000–2,500 words
• A short executive summary up front (≈150 words)
• Inline headings and numbered steps that match the existing process map
• Consistent terminology and definitions for key roles and hand-offs

Acceptance Criteria
The document should let a new hire perform the process end-to-end with no outside help. I will consider the work complete after a single review cycle to check clarity, completeness, and adherence to the structure above.

If you are comfortable with technical writing focused on business processes and can deliver crisp, user-friendly copy, let’s get started.
