I need a complete dam-break simulation for one or more mine-tailings ponds, carried out in HEC-RAS. The focus is the breach itself: sizing the failure, routing the outflow, and clearly quantifying the downstream hydraulics produced by that sudden release.

Starting from my site information, you will configure the terrain, set up the breach parameters, run unsteady-flow calculations, and translate the results into graphics and a concise technical memo. I will rely on your HEC-RAS expertise to extract the peak discharge, depth and velocity fields, travel times, and any other indicators that demonstrate the full impact of the failure scenario.

The final package should include the editable HEC-RAS project files, georeferenced inundation layers I can open in GIS, and a short report that walks through the model set-up, assumptions, diagnostics, and key findings. Accuracy, transparency, and clear documentation are essential so I can share the outputs with regulators and emergency-planning teams.
