Revise Generator IO&M Manual
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I need the Introduction & Overview, Operational Procedures, and Maintenance Schedules in an existing generator-set installation, operation and maintenance manual rewritten so they line up fully with recognised industry standards—specifically the relevant ISO sections and the applicable NFPA guidance.
You will receive the current manual in Word format, which includes the pasted equipment manuals (engine, alternator) and some example manuals to follow, along with any background data you need on the set-up. All relevant data needs to be consolidated in specific sections for ease of use; it is currently spread across the component manuals. The job is strictly a technical rewrite: wording must be clear, non-contradictory, consistent, and unambiguous while preserving all technical accuracy.
Deliverables:
• Updated, publication-ready manual sections in Word (clean copy)
• A version showing tracked changes for easy review
• Brief change log summarising how each ISO or NFPA requirement was addressed
Acceptance Criteria:
• Every change references the exact ISO or NFPA clause it satisfies
• No safety instruction, torque value, or service interval deviates from the existing OEM data unless a cited standard requires it
• Text is free of grammar or formatting errors and follows the manual’s existing style conventions
If questions arise during the rewrite, flag them early so we can keep the review loop tight and efficient.
