I’m seeking an experienced editor for a 35,000–45,000 word nonfiction manuscript focused on financial planning practice design.
This is a reflective, structured work written for experienced financial advisors, not a general audience. The writing assumes domain familiarity and does not aim to explain foundational concepts.
Editing Objective
The goal is a light-touch line edit that improves clarity, flow, and consistency while fully preserving the author’s voice, phrasing, and cadence.
Editing Approach (Important)
This manuscript requires a restrained editorial approach.
Do not rewrite sentences for stylistic preference if they are already clear
Do not add explanatory language, examples, or expansions for less experienced readers
Do not shift the tone toward a more general or instructional style
Edits should favor precision and reduction rather than expansion.
In general, if a sentence is already clear and intentional, it should remain largely unchanged.
