PDF editor
Budget: $8 – $15 AUD
I’m looking for a straightforward solution that lets me open any PDF, click into existing text, revise the wording, adjust basic font properties if required, and then save the file back out as a clean, standards-compliant PDF. Nothing else is on the wish list right now—I don’t need image manipulation, form handling, or page re-ordering.
You’re free to choose the stack that makes the most sense—Python (PyPDF2, PDFPlumber), JavaScript (PDF-Lib, pdf.js), or a wrapper around Adobe Acrobat SDK or Foxit SDK—as long as the finished tool runs smoothly on Windows and produces output that looks identical to the original layout aside from the text I’ve edited.
Deliverables
• Executable or web app plus full source
• Clear, step-by-step setup instructions
• A brief README outlining any open-source libraries used and their licenses
• Sample before-and-after files that prove text can be edited without losing fonts, kerning, or alignment
I’ll test by opening three sample PDFs, changing sentences, and confirming the exported files open flawlessly in Adobe Reader. If that round-trips without visual drift, we’re good to sign off.
