Native Spanish Technical Translator, Localization expert
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a steady flow of technical manuals that need to move from English into natural, native-level Spanish. The content is operator and maintenance oriented, so an accurate tone and clear terminology matter more than deep engineering expertise—a solid basic grasp of technical vocabulary will do.
You will handle the work in your own CAT environment (Trados, memoQ, Wordfast or similar) to keep terminology consistent from project to project. I’ll supply the source files—usually Word, occasionally InDesign or PDF—along with any existing glossaries.
After translation, please run a full QA pass, proof-read the target text, and return both the clean Spanish file and a bilingual CAT export. Tight turnarounds are common (small updates within 24 hours, larger manuals of 15–20 k words on staged deadlines), so reliable scheduling and clear progress updates are essential.
Deliverable:
• Final Spanish manual in the original file format, fully proof-read and formatted, plus a bilingual CAT file.
I’ll review the first 1 000 words of the initial assignment to confirm tone and terminology before green-lighting the remainder. Ready to start?
