LaserPecker LX2 Proven Settings
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I need a fellow LaserPecker LX2 owner who has already dialled-in, real-world settings and is willing to share them. I work with both the 20 W diode head and the 2 W IR head, and I switch between engraving and cutting every week, so your data must cover the full range of what this machine can do.
Materials in scope
• Plywood, hardwood, MDF, bamboo
• Acrylic, leather, slate, cork
• Cardboard, paper, glass
• Stainless steel (with the IR head) and anodised aluminium
What I expect for each material
• Power %
• Speed (mm/s)
• Resolution / DPI
• Number of passes
• Engraving parameters
• Cutting parameters where cutting is practical
On top of the raw figures, please include any practical tips you’ve discovered—optimal focus tricks, masking advice, airflow tweaks, or anything else that improves consistency or minimizes charring/ghosting.
I’m specifically looking for settings you have personally tested, not the generic tables from the LaserPecker site or Facebook groups. If you can attach photos or short clips of completed pieces that show the clarity of engravings and the cleanliness of cuts, that will help me verify the results before committing.
